Job Title: HR Assistant

Location: Stansted & Luton Airports

Salary: Part-time – £16,800 to £18,000 per annum / Full-time – £28,000 to £30,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-time and part-time position available

  • Part-time position, working 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The general working hours will be 09:00 to 17.30 with an unpaid lunch break.

The role:

Provide professional advice and guidance on matters associated with employment and monitor Human Resources policies and procedures amending if necessary, supporting the Director of HR & Support Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing Offers and Contracts of Employment
  • Liaising with the Training department to carry out HR Inductions for new starters as required
  • Inputting data on the payroll system-Resourcelink
  • Preparing, circulating and monitoring the monthly sickness reports for Managers
  • Monitor the sickness levels using the Bradford Factor with particular attention to long term sick employees
  • Assisting with the recruitment process as and when required (dependent on the successful candidates previous experience)
  • Preparing job vacancy adverts and co-ordinating the interview process
  • Minute taking
  • Liaising with Line Managers on employees passing their probation periods and confirming this in writing to the employee
  • Administration of Airport ID Pass process including referencing and disclosure form administration for new starters
  • Responding to speculative enquiries and CV’s
  • Recording of the cash tip register
  • Project Work as required
  • Provide sound HR advice to all staff within the organisation in line with both Company policy/procedure and adhering to employment legislation/best practice. Keep the HR Manager informed and handover where necessary
  • Monitor employee welfare and development providing support and advice to staff and managers as required
  • Support in any disciplinary / grievance issues in line with policy and employment legislation and handover to the HR Manager where necessary
  • This is a hands-on role and will involve a large volume of day-to-day HR administration including filing and scanning
  • Ensure that a good relationship with the Harrods Pay Office is maintained
  • Monitor and ensure that the highest standards are maintained within the HR Department, particularly maintaining personnel files.
  • Be the first point of contact for employee queries

Note: You are expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business and work demand. This role also requires occasional travel between Harrods Aviation locations.
