Job Title: HR Business Partner

Location: East Suffolk Council, based in Melton or Lowestoft

Salary: £37,568 – £41,591 per annum

Job Type: Full Time (37 hrs per week), Permanent

Closing Date: 10th April 2022 – 11:30pm

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our busy team. You will provide an operational and strategic HR service to designated service areas across the Council, delivering HR best practice and commercially focused HR solutions to support the Council in meeting its strategic aims.

You will manage complex HR casework to conclusion, taking a proactive approach in cases of discipline, performance, sickness absence, capability, grievance, bullying and harassment and occupational health.

You will develop, review, implement and provide technical guidance around HR policies, procedures, and practices; coaching, supporting and challenging managers as appropriate. You will also work on key corporate projects in support of the Council’s People Strategy and the HR Service Plan.

About you:

You will have substantial operational and strategic HR experience, up to date knowledge of employment legislation and a proven track record of successfully dealing with varied and complex people management issues. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills, be customer focused, tenacious, be open to change and embrace team working. Applicants should be full members of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD).
