Job Title: HR Officer

Location: Blackheath, London, SE3 0PW.

Salary: Circa £24,000 to £25,000 per annum, dependent upon experience

Job type: Permanent, 35 hours per week

Morden College is a charity dedicated to supporting older people, providing them with residential care and residential nursing care if the need arises. Our care services were graded Good in all S CQC inspection area ratings and we have been granted Hospitality Assured status.

The role:

We are looking for an experienced HR Officer to work in a small team to support the day to day running of the HR Department. This is a busy role which will suit someone eager to get involved in the different aspects of HR and the employee lifecycle. The post holder will support in all lifecycle functions all the way from recruitment to staff leavers.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. To provide a proactive and responsive HR service to all staff at Morden College.
  2. To ensure accurate records are kept, in line with statutory requirements and College policies and procedures.
  3. To be empathetic to staff and have a high regard for staff wellbeing.

The Candidate:

You will have experience working within HR and be keen to undertake a full HR generalist role in a meaningful and supportive environment.

You will be highly organised and have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, together with tact, patience and empathy.

You will also have good IT skills with experience of working with HR information systems being highly desirable.
