Job Title: HR Support Apprentice

Location: India Mill, Darwen

Salary: £13,500 to £18,500 and then increasing upon completion of Apprenticeship.

Job type: Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week over a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday

The role:

We are looking for a highly organised person who likes process and has exceptional attention to detail, this could be the ideal role for you:

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

The role is to support the HR Team with the day-to-day tasks of managing employee data via our HRIS (HR Information system). You would be involved in the following:

  • General Admin Duties:
    • Carry out photocopying, scanning, or filing as required
    • Handling day-to-day queries and signposting to relevant people
    • Support Employees and Managers in line with company policies and procedures
  • Recruitment:
    • Assisting with adverts
    • Assisting with applicant screening
    • assisting with arranging interviews and getting interview packs ready
    • Updating the recruitment tracker daily
    • Attend job centres and local recruitment days
  • Induction:,.
    • Assist with induction days
  • Electronic Filing:
    • Scanning of hard copy personal and training files to HRIS system

The Candidate:

  • Excellent attention to detail and good customer service skills
  • An interest in people, including motivation and engagement
  • Key Focus on Quality and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good IT skills, proficient with all Microsoft packages
  • GCSE – Grades A to C or training to level 2 NVQ in administration

  • We will pay a competitive rate based on their current skills, experience, and any relevant qualifications. (Ranging from £13,500 to £18,500).
