Salary: £38,205 to £44,263 per year

Our library vision, The Library Towards 2025, sets out our ambitions to be a library that is connected, that goes beyond providing just a service and building, and works in partnership with all Lancaster University communities. Central to this vision is the work of the Library Teaching and Engagement team, who are the interface between the faculties, departments and the library, and who engage with the wider community, developing partnerships with local schools, colleges and community groups.

The Role:

We are excited to be recruiting for an Information Specialist (Systematic Review) post to join the Library Teaching and Engagement team developing and managing the Library’s Systematic Review offer. As the Information Specialist (Systematic Reviews) you will:

  • Provide training, guidance and support for systematic literature searching for staff, researchers and PhD students (including distance learners) through one-to-ones; library training, drop-ins, online channels and the Library’s enquiry service
  • Develop and maintain the Library’s Systematic Review guidance
  • Work as part of, or in partnership with research teams to produce high quality systematic reviews and evidence syntheses
  • Contribute to developing a Systematic Review Community of Practice across Lancaster University and externally

Candidate Requirements:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual with a minimum of two years’ experience of designing, supporting and undertaking systematic literature searching to address complex topics. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others; be experienced in designing and delivering training (including for distance learning students), have a strong aptitude for the use of technology and experience of service development.
