Salary: £27,977 per year.

Job type: Full-time, Permanent, Remote.

The Role:

We are currently looking for an ISO Compliance Officer join our supportive and dynamic Quality Team, on a Permanent Contract.

The successful candidate will work to ensure compliance against ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO22301, and to support continued certification against these standards. This includes carrying out regular checks and audits to verify procedures are effective and are always adhered to, as well as liaising with our external auditors and certification body. The ISO Compliance Officer will be expected to work closely with operational and support services teams to ensure compliance and to raise awareness and understanding of the ISO standards across the organisation. The postholder is expected to maintain our Integrated Management System (IMS) to a high level, including the Legal Register, Risk Registers, and Corrective Actions Log, and to ensure the IMS continues to add value to the organisation.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular checks, assessments and internal audits as scheduled
  • Maintain the Integrated Management System and ensure its continuous effectiveness and relevance within the organisation, this includes, but is not limited to, maintaining the Corrective Actions Log, Risk Registers, Legal Register, ISO Objectives, Performance Monitoring, etc.
  • Be the point of contact for external audits, preparing the teams, coordinating dates and availability, and communicating any relevant information.
  • Create thorough reports on any findings, including good practice and any shortcomings
  • Identify root causes of any non-conformances and create improvement plans to ensure non-conformances are addressed and rectified.
  • Work within the organisation’s ISO frameworks to ensure adherence to ISO standards
  • Lead the monthly IMS meetings
  • Work collaboratively with other teams, specifically our IT, Facilities and Health and Safety Teams, to support continuous improvement
  • Provide cover and/or support to other auditing roles within the organisation
  • Raise concerns or issues as appropriate and work with the relevant teams to resolve these
  • Give feedback based on audit and assessment outcomes
  • Provide support to other colleagues as and when required
  • Participate in regular team briefings / meetings
  • Keep up to date with legislation, regulations, and contract requirements

Experience and Skills:

  • ​Experience of providing effective and constructive feedback
  • An understanding and observance of impartiality and confidentiality
  • Excellent internal auditing skills, including active listening, professional scepticism, understanding new information, report writing and root-cause analysis
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly MS Office applications
  • Dedicated to providing the best quality services and achieving the highest standard of client care
