The Role

As a Helpdesk Support Technician, you will be responsible for 1st and 2nd line helpdesk support, responding to telephone and email support requests to both in-house and remote members of staff. Assisting the IT dept with daily tasks including monitoring backups, password resets, PC builds, SCCM administration etc. The candidate will be required to assist in IT project work as necessary. The role is both challenging and fast paced and will require the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

The position is based at our office in Ashford, Kent. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30 – 17.00, although some flexibility will be required.

What are your skills necessary to perform this role:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Desktop software including Windows 10/11.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Outlook, Office 365 and Team Viewer.
  • General networking experience including TCP/ IP, DNS, DHCP and Internet technologies.
  • Familiarity or experience with Windows Server, SharePoint, SAP and SCCM desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving approach to tasks.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Positive, can-do approach.
  • Minimum 4 GCSEs at minimum Grade C/ Level 4 or equivalent, including Maths and English.
