About the role:
Painted LTD is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wood Surface Preparation Specialist to join our dynamic team based in our busy workshop located in Wimbledon. As a specialist in wood and MDF surface preparation, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all wood surfaces are impeccably prepared for the final spray paint application, resulting in flawless finishes. We are looking for a candidate with a deep understanding of different MDF and wood veneers and the expertise to approach them for repairs and painting preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all wood surfaces are meticulously prepared for spray painting. Including inspecting and cleaning.
- Ability to sand wood surfaces to achieve the desired smoothness for painting.
- Fill and repair any imperfections, ensuring a seamless appearance.
- Work closely with the spray-painting team to guarantee quality across all aspects of work.
- Maintain equipment, ensuring they are clean and in optimal condition.
- Stay updated with the latest techniques and advancements in wood surface preparation.
Skills Required:
- At least three years proven experience in wood preparation skills.
- Knowledge of wood types and each of their unique requirements.
- Mastery of tools and equipment pertinent to wood preparation.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring quality.
- Collaborative team player as well as the ability to work alone.
- Adherence to workshop safety guidelines and protocols.
- Hard-working with a hunger to provide the best work possible.
