Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Croydon

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000

The role:

Due to a high level of inbound enquiries and upcoming projects, we’re looking to add a Junior Quantity Surveyor to our growing building works.

The Candidate:

The role is best suited for a candidate with a qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management that is interested in the design and fit-out industry with the option for career progression. The candidate should hold the following:

  • QS qualification / Construction qualification
  • Detail-focused Individual
  • Have excellent customer focus and interpersonal skills
  • Enjoy working within a busy team environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and CRM software
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • A full driving licence
  • Local to Croydon area (1-hour commutable distance to office)

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

The company undertakes restaurant design and build contracts from concept to competition and the project manager is responsible for the successful delivery of our design, build and fit out projects.

  • The candidate will work alongside the team of 4 Project Managers and our 2-strong building works team, led by our Head of Construction. The candidate will assist both the Head of Construction, and the Building Works Co-Ordinator to assist with site surveys, development of project costing and sourcing of materials.
  • The candidate will schedule scope of works for pricing, this will include formulating rates for measurement in association with Head of Building Works. Including creating programme of works, cashflow forecasting, subcontractor procurement and supplier negotiation.
  • The candidate will also work closely with the team to co-ordinate and assist with the scheduling of elements of the project to ensure a successful contract delivery.
  • Alongside this, the candidate will provide support to our Operations Director and Compliance Manager who is responsible for the compliance and co-ordination of H&S documentation and project documents.
  • The candidate will be completing any necessary administrative requirements that the Projects team have.

Work schedule of 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, with on-site parking available and the IFSE offices are within a 5-minute walk of the Waddon Marsh tram stop.
