Job Title: Kitchen Porter

Location: Holland Park, London (W11 4JG)

Salary: Up to £12.00 per hour

Job type: Full Time – Permanent

Purpose of Role:

The Kitchen Porter reports to Head Chef, BOH Manager, Sous Chef, Chef de Partie and is responsible for all cleaning within the restaurant, kitchen and outside ensuring a high standard of hygiene is maintained in all areas.

Main Duties:

Duties include but not limited to –

  • Collect and wash up all pots, pans and dishes as required.
  • Ensure all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils and equipment are cleaned correctly in line with set cleaning schedules/as required.
  • Make sure all equipment is stored correctly in the right manner and place.
  • All daily and weekly cleaning schedules are adhered to.
  • Keep all store rooms clean and tidy.
  • To ensure that the cleaning of the kitchen and all relevant areas is to the correct standards.
  • To understand and comply with food hygiene regulations.
  • To follow Health and Safety Policies and Procedures in every aspect.
  • To be appropriately dressed and look professional.
  • To have good personal hygiene.
  • To ensure that all Company Standards are adhered to in all departments/sections at all times.
  • To be aware of and act in accordance with Fire Safety Procedures at all times.
  • To attend all statutory training as required by the company.
  • To timeously carry out any reasonable requests made by a member of the management team.
  • To ask questions if unsure of any tasks, standards or instructions.
  • To be proactive in their approach to their personal development by asking questions and continually learning.

  • To remember that customers can be both internal – employees and colleagues and external – suppliers and customers.
