Job Title: Laminator (Fitter)

Location: India Mill, Darwen

Salary: £10.24 per hour depending on skills, experience, and relevant qualifications.

Job type: Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week over a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday.

The role:

We are looking for a highly experienced composite Laminator (Fitter) with at least two years of working experience within an aerospace/automotive manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Laminating and tooling across a broad range of products
  • Understanding technical drawings and laminate manuals
  • Checking information on drawings is clear
  • Laminate with good attention to detail
  • Vacuum bag parts to a high standard
  • Assist as required in all aspects of Production including preparation of moulds and de-moulding

The Candidate:

  • Self-motivated and proactive with ability to plan and organise workload
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good knowledge of laminating processes for different materials used in creating a high-quality component
  • Ability to follow procedures and work instructions / manuals
  • Comfortable working to tight time frames with demanding quality requirements
  • Candidates must demonstrate previous experience of using their own initiative
  • High attention to detail

Overtime Rates:

Overtime above basic is paid at 1.5 and on Sunday 2.0.

Benefits:

  • Holidays start at 28 days per year (including Bank Holidays) (based on 4 day).
  • Overtime rates after basic hours are 1.5 of your basic hourly rates, and Fridays and Saturdays
  • Overtime rates for Sundays are 2.0 of your basic hourly rates.
  • Shift Allowances: Nights 33%, Double day 18% and Blended Rota 21.7%
