Job Title: Landscape Garden Designer/Sales & Project Manager

Location: Southampton, Hampshire SO32 2DA

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum, plus potential £7,500 Bonus Reward

Job type: Full Time Permanent

Based in Curdridge, Southampton the company’s services cover the whole of Hampshire and into the surrounding counties.

The Role:

We are looking for experienced Landscapers ideally with a 7.5ton Driving Licence to run teams of 2- and 3-men building gardens of all shapes and sizes. This is all with the aim of providing our clients with a high level of satisfaction. You would enjoy problem solving and the challenge of using a variety of different landscape materials and machinery to create gardens from designs.

Key duties:

Estimating, Design & Sales – To convert enquiry leads into live projects by:

  • Understanding the client’s requirements
  • Providing clients with solutions for their gardens and presenting these ideas through detailed drawings or computer aided design
  • Providing the clients with competitive quotes, whilst maintaining profit margin
  • Selling our products and services
  • Achieving sales budgets and profits Project Management
  • Managing staff on site, overseeing workmanship
  • Providing clear instructions
  • Managing health & Safety and risk assessments
  • Following company procedures
  • Liaising with Clients, Suppliers and colleagues

The candidate:

We are looking for candidates with sales experience who have a strong interest and passion for Gardening & Design. You would get to work within an experienced Designer Team, providing potential clients with reliable and workable solutions for their garden projects.

About you:

  • Experience in sales – confidence in presenting ideas to clients
  • Experience of working as a Designer and/or have a design qualification
  • It is essential that you are computer literate and ideally have experience using CAD, KeySCAPE or sketchup
  • Horticulture knowledge and/or a qualification
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Time management skills
  • Project Management experience
  • Meet deadlines
  • Positive and friendly “can do attitude”

  • Problem solving
