Salary: £35,333 – £51,805 per year.

The Role:

You will join our School of Life Sciences, working with academics teaching and conducting world-class research in Forensic Science, Crime and Investigative Science, Biomedical Science, and Animal and Environmental Biology, based in our Faculty of Science and Engineering. We seek expertise in the use of biological, genetic and environmental markers to determine population or ecosystem health, diversity or disease burden. Here we would expect you to be an expert in environmental eDNA and other biological and genetic markers (e.g., stable isotopes) of organisms including plants, animals, and/or microorganisms.

We’re a forward-looking and enthusiastic School with a vision that combines commitment to a strong and active research culture with excellence in learning and teaching. With a PhD or professional doctorate (completed or nearing completion within 18 months) in a related discipline, you will have teaching and research experience in one or more of the following areas. You will ensure high standards of teaching, whilst adhering to quality assurance standards, and provide an excellent student experience.

You will be committed to research and prepared to work as part of multi-disciplinary teams, as well as developing your personal research activities. Your research will align to the School research strategy, you will also possess excellent communications skills and will demonstrate a flexible approach to work.
