Job Title: LGV Supervisor

The Role:

Responsible for the effective maintenance of the Knowles Transport fleet, planning work and organising shifts. Management of the team. Day to Day re-active and proactive maintenance of the Fleet taking direction from the Fleet manager at our March site.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience or qualification in motor mechanics such as City & Guilds Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or a BTEC National Certificate in Vehicle Repair and Technology.
  • Excellent motor technology knowledge and a strong interest in motor vehicles
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to concentrate when under pressure.
  • Having good manual dexterity.
  • Methodical and organised and able to work to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously, follow and give instructions.
  • Must have own transport and full UK driving licence.

Fleet Maintenance – Repair and maintain fleet vehicles.

Performing the following tasks:

  • Inspect vehicles to MOT standard.
  • Diagnose and rectify all types of faults.
  • Maintain current product knowledge and attend training courses as required.
  • Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises.
  • Complete all paperwork as necessary.
  • Ensure all aspects of H&S working practices are adhered to.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
