Job Title: Logistics Customer Services Coordinator

Location: Ipswich

Salary: £21,000 to £25,000 depending on experience plus benefits

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

OOCL, a leading global container shipping and logistics provider is recruiting for a Logistics Customer Services Coordinator to join their team.

The Role:

  • To effectively liaise with nominated customers for all requirements and ensure that the details of such are in line with their SOP requirement and fully captured accurately and in a timely fashion in line with our internal operating procedures. To ensure that any service changes or updates are included in both a revised SOP and IOP and attend meetings with the Customer where required.
  • To ensure all documents collected in line with shipment terms and work closely with customs and finance team for clearance, billing and collection of any outstanding monies prior to release of cargo.
  • Work with multiple external service providers including carriers and hauliers for arranging release/delivery of shipments based on shipment requirements.
  • To maintain an excellent level of service for and relationship with the customer in line with OLUKL’s company expectations.
  • To ensure that any questions/queries arising from all global OLL internal colleagues or the customer’s departments (such as buying, merchandising or logistics teams) are responded to effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Work with both OLL internal colleagues and customer to identify opportunities and efficiencies within supply chains and processes.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Working experience preferably within Logistics Supply Chain & Retail Logistics sectors specifically or a working knowledge with carriers / shipping lines and haulage.
  • Excellent customer service and helpful attitude (“We Take It Personally”)
  • Strong IT skills including MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Must be comfortable working with detailed data
  • Good time & deadline management
