Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Dover (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £32,463 increasing to £33,946 after successfully completing probation.

Job type: Full-time, permanent. Hybrid working.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and efficient, have demonstrable experience working in accounting, producing management accounts, cost analysis and reports for Senior Managers, and be passionate about protecting our vulnerable clients.

The Role:

We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to support Clear Voice, within our dynamic and supportive Finance team, on a Permanent Contract.

The Management Accountant will work to support the Clear Voice management team to meet its strategic and business objectives. The post holder with prepare periodic financial statements, including but not limited to, profit and loss accounts, costing models for bids and grants, cash-flows, data analysis and commentaries. The successful candidate will provide accurate and relevant information to aid in management decision making. They will work to ensure the continuous development of the work and that their work is delivered according to procedures and processes which are accurate, professional, and consistent always.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all finance policies and operating procedures are followed
  • Compiling financial and costing models, when required
  • Analysing financial performance information and advise on how to improve efficiency prevent problems, adapt to change and create value
  • Work closely with the Finance Officer to analyse volumes, reporting data and forecasting
  • Support the budget process through meeting with operational colleagues, analysing information and proposing solutions
  • Providing feedback to the Senior Leadership Team on arising financial issues and support longer term business planning through reporting and analysis
  • Interpret financial information to non-financial managers
  • Implement and monitor controls of effectiveness
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts, VAT returns, payroll and filing information
  • Ensure all staff development requirements are met within agreed time scales, through Staff Supervision and Appraisal (SAA)
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Experience and Skills:

  • ​Excellent interpersonal skills/ability to communicate with diverse groups
  • Experience working in accounting, producing management accounts, costing analysis and reports for Senior Managers
  • Experience of working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in using financial software
  • Impeccable time management and organisation skills
