Job Title: Management Accountant

The Role:
As a Management Accountant, you will be a key member of our Finance team, this list is not exhaustive, but the core responsibilities are:
- Preparation of timely month-end management accounts
- Analysis of departmental P&L’s and partnering with budget holders
- Providing a comprehensive commentary for Senior Management, which is insightful and details the why, as opposed to simply quoting the variances
- Balance Sheet maintenance and control, including the posting of regular journals and pro-actively investigating reconciling items
- Production of a monthly sales reporting pack and commission calculations
- Take ownership of the month-end process by suggesting process improvements and instilling financial discipline
- Review and submission of quarterly VAT returns
- Involvement in the production of the annual budgeting and ad-hoc forecasting
- Providing support and guidance to junior members within the Finance department
- Ad-hoc reporting and project work as required
About You:
- Studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Good system skills (preferably with Sage 200, but not essential)
- Intermediate in Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables & Formulae)
- Ability to quickly build relationships within and outside of Finance
- A focused individual with the ability to work to tight deadlines
