Job Title: Marketing and Project Administrator

Retrofit West CIC is a new community interest company formed by the Centre for Sustainable Energy to accelerate home and building retrofit activity. The West of England Combined Authority has commissioned Retrofit West CIC to deliver a retrofit accelerator homeowner advice service across the region.

Retrofit West will establish a one-stop-shop advisory service for homeowners carrying out ‘whole house’ retrofitting activities on their homes. The service will encourage and support homeowners through the entire process, from initial thoughts about retrofit works, through planning interventions and on to the completion of installations.

The Role:

We seek a dynamic and driven administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the general administration of the company, with a particular focus on marketing and project delivery with scope to grow. The candidate should have a strong understanding of marketing principles, be highly organised, and possess excellent communication skills and project management. This role requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

General Administration:

  • Handle general administrative tasks, including but not limited to data entry, scheduling, and liaising with external contacts
  • Manage voucher applications
  • Sort out incoming post, franking outgoing post
  • Administer petty cash and banking as required
  • Manage the recruitment process from advertising to arranging interview schedules
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports and organisation of marketing materials
  • Implement SEO strategies to improve the company’s online visibility and search rankings
  • Record client data, update databases, speak with householders and manage bookings for retrofit projects
  • Complete tests to ensure website efficiency and quality
  • Develop website content to support organisational goals and strategies

Project Management

  • Project plan development
  • Task monitoring and control
  • Project process development
  • Document control

Digital Marketing:

  • Monitor digital marketing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimisation
  • Update and monitor social media channels based on the content plan
  • Identify potential influencers/companies for cross-marketing, guest content and backlinks
  • Researching industry-related topics to develop unique and original content
  • Regularly monitor website performance and implement necessary changes to improve user experience and enhance online presence
  • Coordinate with the web development team for any technical issues related to the website and ensure timely resolution

About you:

Qualifications:

  • GCSE/’O’ level Maths and English
  • A Levels (Desirable)

Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Working to tight deadlines and budgets
  • Previous marketing-related experience (Desirable)
  • Previous website management experience (Desirable)
  • Previous social media management experience (Desirable)

Skills and Abilities:

  • Confident, flexible and open approach to work and a willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and communicate it to others
  • Ability to develop good relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to use initiative, juggle competing tasks and set own priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with limited supervision
  • Good time management skills, including priority setting, multi-tasking and problem-solving
  • Understanding of sustainability and wider environmental issues and a commitment to CSE’s work (Desirable)
  • IT know-how for basic workstation set-up and simple problem-solving (Desirable)

Technical Skills:

  • Highly skilled in use of MS office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiarity with databases (Desirable)
  • Familiarity with Canva (Desirable)

Place Of Work and Other Requirements:

  • This post is based at the Retrofit West office in Bristol, with some homeworking
  • Some travel to customer households will be required
  • This post is subject to a DBS check
  • The postholder will undertake City & Guilds Energy Awareness training as part of their induction
  • There will be a six-month probationary review
