Humberside Engineering Training Association HETA is a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA) with training centres in Hull, Stallingborough and Scunthorpe. HETA provide engineering apprentices and adult skills training for hundreds of companies in Yorkshire and Humberside. We recruit industry specialists who want to make the career change to delivering training and skills and have a vacancy for the following post based at our training centre in Hull.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical engineer with machining experience and a high level of industry experience who feels they have the right skills and attributes pass on their knowledge and experience to the next generation of engineers. This position is based at the HETA training centre in Hull and entails delivering high quality apprenticeship and commercial training for our client companies. The role will predominantly involve the training of engineering maintenance and manufacturing apprentices at the HETA site.

The successful Candidate will have:

  • Mechanical maintenance
  • Machining
  • Health & Safety practices and procedures.

A working knowledge of CAD systems, hydraulics and pneumatics is desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant also needs:

  • A minimum of Level 3 Engineering qualification
  • Good interpersonal and computer skills
  • Full Driving licence

Whilst assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable, they are not essential as full support will be given in the development of necessary skills.
