Job Title: Media Trainer / In-House Journalist / Content Creator

Location: Winnersh

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Job type: Permanent, Full time

Who we are:

Media First was founded over 40 years ago, initially, we specialised in media training before evolving to help our clients with their wider communications challenges. Today, although still called Media First, we are ultimately known as specialists in communications training.

About the role:

We are looking for someone who loves the media to join an expanding training company that constantly punches above its weight.

We need a versatile and energetic team player to help deliver our bespoke media, communications and presentation training courses.

No two days are the same: You’ll be a lead tutor, a telephone journalist or a course designer – and you’ll be turning your hand to blog writing, podcasting and social media.

This is your opportunity to make your mark with a team that works with some of the country’s biggest brands – including 40 of the FTSE 100 – helping to communicate with clarity and confidence to develop their people.

Our courses are delivered online and in person across the country. So, there will be opportunities to travel.

And you’ll be fully supported by our small but perfectly formed operations and technical team. We’re a friendly bunch with an open-door policy.

Who are we looking for?

We pride ourselves on the realism and credibility of our training. So, you’ll need an extensive journalistic background, preferably across broadcast and print.

You’ll also have experience in delivering training to senior managers and directors – ideally both online and in-person.

You’ll need an eye for a story and will be able to juggle different tasks and deadlines.

And you’ll combine creativity and compelling copy with attention to detail.

Oh, and you’ll need to be a team player and have a passion for helping others develop and improve their skills.
