Job Title: Third Party Claims Handler

Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Salary: £20,000 – £26,000 + bonus scheme

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Job Role:

As a Third Party Claims handler, you will to negotiate and settle third party claims as economically and efficiently as possible on behalf of their insurer clients. The role will involve assessing liability, screening for fraud concerns, handling PI and Credit Hire and seeing the claim through from start to finish.

You will be able to liaise with TP Representatives being able to put your defence forward showing your understanding of MOJ and CPR rules. You will have a good understanding of the financial implications of your actions and will take this into account when making any decisions.

The Candidate:

  • Likely from an insurer or law firm background
  • Have proven experience in handling TP claims, including PI and Credit Hire
  • Able to take responsibility for your own caseload and to work independently and proactively to progress your claims to settlement
  • Capable of pulling together a defence to claimant solicitors
  • Able to handle your own litigation is a must
