Job Title: Maintenance Operative – General Builder

Salary: £22,183 – £24,491 per annum

The Council’s Property Services & Facilities Management Team is looking for a General builder to join the In-House Maintenance Team who carry out repairs and maintenance to the Council’s social housing and public buildings.
About you:
Applicants need to have a recognised qualification in general building skills.
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate that they can undertake plastering, tiling, brick laying, drainage and general building repairs to a high standard and ideally have some other trade skills.
Applicants will need to have the highest levels of customer care and have a cheerful and positive disposition. Experience of working in social housing or public buildings would be an advantage.
Candidates should have the ability to work efficiently to complete minimum daily workloads as prescribed to meet business demand.
Applicants should be able to plan and record own work load and material use.
