The Role:

To provide a maintenance service within the Doncaster facility, covering all aspects of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance and repair work to achieve the optimum efficiency and safety of plant, equipment and services.

The Candidate:

  • Apprentice trained Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Engineer (upskilling can be applied for) college testing dependent.
  • A clear understanding of Health and Safety Requirements.
  • A wide range of experience and knowledge of the maintenance and installation of plant, equipment and associated systems
  • Previously worked in engineering background.
  • Forward thinking individual
  • Proactive, energetic, always searching for improvement.
  • Ability to work under their own initiative.

Core Competencies:

  • Time served Apprentice with recognised qualifications in both Electrical and Mechanical disciplines.
  • H&S Trained (desirable but not essential as training will be provided)
  • T Literate
  • CNC Machine tool experience (preferred)
  • Supporting and Cooperating – working with people, Adhering to principles and values.
  • Adapting and coping – adapting and responding to change, Coping with pressures and setbacks
  • Enterprising and Performing – Achieving personal work goals and objectives

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Accepts responsibility for the Health and safety of themselves and others.
  • Understands and follows the companies Health, Safety and Environmental and any other company policies and procedures.
  • Carrying out mechanical, electrical and fitting works as required by the company
  • Route cause analysis on Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic equipment across the site.
  • Providing technical support to production personnel.
  • To actively support all factory improvement projects from a Mechanical, Electrical Hydraulic and Pneumatic perspective.
  • To ensure that PPM’s are carried out on time and in the correct manner
  • To ensure that the ALL work is logged onto the companies Planned Maintenance System
  • To assist with ensuring 5s standards are achieved and maintained.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the grade and nature of this position.
