SYNLAB Laboratory Services is part of SYNLAB UK & Ireland, who provide laboratory diagnostic and training services to a diverse range of sectors including healthcare and wellness, sport, travel, corporates and insurer, logistics and family law.

SYNLAB Laboratory Services has 2 in-house laboratories offering a wide range of pathology tests including occupational health and wellness tests, as well as workplace drug and alcohol testing. In addition to our laboratories providing UKAS accredited ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15189 testing, we are one of only a few providers offering an end-to-end in-house collection and laboratory service.

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced National Account Manager to join our Sales team in Abergavenny. This role is full time, permanent and home-based with, occasional visits to our site and customer sites for meetings.

This is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for managing and building relationships with our Key Account clients, as well as supporting the growth of our business.

Duties include:

  • Effectively manage the relationship between SYNLAB and our key national accounts.
  • Increase revenue for all sectors of the business from existing clients.
  • Ensure regular communication occurs with key clients.
  • Work with the IT team to ensure required Management Information is created and shared with Key clients.
  • Lead new client on-boarding and support Tender process as required.
  • Create new business opportunities and identify adjacencies.
  • Contribute to the delivery of key marketing programmes/campaigns.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Account management experience.
  • Establishing an outstanding client experience by providing outstanding service and commitment to deliver.
  • Experience of the Lifesciences/healthcare/pathology sector.
  • Accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Resilient and calm nature whilst under client pressures.
  • Self-awareness and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Confident, adaptable, emotionally intelligent communication.
  • Passionate team player.

Desirable (not essential)

  • Training on customer-centricity.
  • Working knowledge of key IT applications including experience of CRM systems.
  • Client upsell and telemarketing experience.
  • Experience of working in an accredited Quality Management System.
  • Experience with LIMS.
  • Experience with Office 365.
  • Full Driver’s Licence.
