Job Title: Neighbourhood Surveyor

Location: Leeds

Salary: £37,378.83 plus Essential Car User Allowance based on the emissions of vehicle

Job Type: Permanent, Full time.

About the role:

We now have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and efficient Surveyor to play a key role in continuing the delivery of outstanding services, making a difference to the lives of our customers that live in our homes and communities.

Based within the local Neighbourhood Team you will act as a source of technical expertise for the maintenance of our assets, specifying and managing the delivery of void repairs and complex reactive repairs, and supporting the effective coordination of planned and cyclical maintenance. The Neighbourhood Surveyor has a key responsibility in ensuring that our customers receive a high-quality repairs service that delivers value for money and achieves high levels of customer satisfaction.

The Neighbourhood Surveyor works closely with other members of their Area Team to maximise the performance of our assets while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and tenancy and neighbourhood sustainability.

Within this role you’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering an excellent standard of customer service and achieves high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Diagnosing and specifying repairs effectively.
  • Managing the delivery of void repairs.
  • Contributes to strategic asset management work and investment planning.
  • Collaborates with Area Team colleagues to maximise the performance of assets and ensure tenancy and neighbourhood sustainability.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent people, project and contractor management skills.
  • Be experienced in construction and maintenance, ideally within the Housing Association or Local Authority sector.
  • Have experience of working with tenants, budgets / budget control, performance monitoring and statistical reporting techniques.
  • Be computer literate (experience of a computerised reporting system would be advantageous).
  • Be qualified to level 5 in a Building Qualification.
  • Have use of a vehicle and have a valid driving licence.
