Job Title: Night Cleaner

Location: Mayfair, London

Salary: Up to £12.00 per hour.

Job type: Full Time – Permanent.

Purpose of Role:

The Night Cleaner is a key member of the team that is responsible for all cleaning within the restaurant and outside ensuring a high standard of hygiene is maintained in all areas. The night cleaner should co-operate with colleagues on cleaning duties and always conduct themselves in a professional manner. The vital part of the position is to ensure that a high standard of service and cleanliness are maintained, whilst at the same time ensuring that all H&S, Cleaning and BOH requirements are adhered to regulation standards.

Main Duties:

Duties include but not limited to –

  • To ensure that all Back of House Standards are met.
  • Ensure all equipment are cleaned correctly in line with set cleaning schedules/as required.
  • Make sure all equipment is stored correctly in the right manner and place.
  • All daily and weekly cleaning schedules are adhered to.
  • Keep all storerooms clean and tidy.
  • To ensure that the cleaning of all relevant areas is to the correct standards.
  • To be aware of and act in accordance with Fire Safety Procedures at all times.
  • To assist with receiving deliveries correctly when needed.
  • To understand and comply with food hygiene regulations, Health & Safety regulations and COSHH.
  • Ensure that correct use of chemicals and PPE is used & stored.
  • To ensure that all equipment is clean and in good working order.
  • To inform management that all uniforms, cloths, are clean and sufficient stock is available.
  • To carry out tasks such as waste collections, glass crushing and cardboard bailing.
  • To be able to communicate to BOH manager & management that all returns and outstanding issues are reported / handed over before leaving.
  • To ensure that professional working relations are maintained with your colleagues and all departments.
  • To create friendly environment for members of the staff.
  • To Co-operate with other teams to achieve common goals in a professional manner.
  • To be knowledgeable of the company’ Policies.
  • To be pro active and up to date on chemicals and used equipment.
  • To communicate to management on a daily basis on all tools are available and ready for the team to work.
  • To be flexible and to adjust to the ever-changing nature of the business, and to extend working duties as reasonably required.
  • To attend all statutory training as required by the company.
  • To carry out any reasonable request made by a member of the management team.
  • Follow up on given tasks and keep management informed on ongoing tasks and issues in timely manners.
