The Role:
The purpose of the Nursing role at Bondcare is to achieve the highest possible standard of care in a professional manner through direct nursing care and effective supervision of Staff Members. Another key element of the role is to take management responsibility for a shift as directed. This role will be based in our Summerfield House nursing home.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Managing of staff and ensuring all staff members contribute to the best of their abilities in the Care Centre.
- Acting up for the duties of deputy Home Manager or Home manager in their absence
- Assessment of all aspects of service users’ care needs and providing health supervision and direct nursing care when required
- Logging and maintaining accurate records and reports
- Carrying out regular checks on service users
- Providing administrative support when required
- Administering prescribed medicines and documents in accordance with Bondcare’s procedure and NMC guidelines
- Actively marketing the Care Centre and promoting to maintain a good reputation of Bondcare and the Care Centre
- Supervising and instructing junior and new staff in all aspects of their work, providing help and guidance where appropriate
- Marinating all health and safety measures throughout the Care Centre in relation to the company’s guidelines
The Candidate:
- 1st level nursing qualification essential.
- Satisfactory Policy Check and check against the PoVA list essential
- Team player
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Genuine interest in working with the relevant Service User group
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Previous supervisory experienced desired
- Experience/qualification in care for relevant Service User category desired
