Job Title: Office Administrator

Location: Station Road, Dorking Surrey, RH4 1HQ

Salary: Depending on experience

Job type: Part Time/Permanent – Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm (Flexibility with these hours to suit)

Carville are leading experts in precision plastic machining, high accuracy multi-layer diffusion bonded manifolds and complex CNC plastic fabrication. We serve demanding global markets including Medical, Life Sciences, Food, Beverage and many Industrial sectors.

The Role:

Part of a small, friendly team, you will be supporting the day-to-day administration activities in the factory to help with the smooth running of operations.

Reporting to the Head of Production, you will be responsible for the daily administration of factory operations and general company administration. Duties are varied, including reception work, organising deliveries, placing orders and recording and communicating information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take incoming telephone calls and forward to relevant personnel.
  • Receive and take care of visitors.
  • Be responsible for stationary and vending machine supplies.
  • Place direct and indirect materials orders as requested. Help finding suppliers for various consumables and other items.
  • Book carriers for outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain holiday and sickness diary.
  • Receive production paperwork and record and store as required.
  • Manage Petty cash.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the factory office.

The Candidate:

Professional and friendly, this position is ideal for someone wanting a flexible, part time role, perhaps returning to work to balance with family commitments or looking for a mix with other responsibilities or activities. Full training will be provided. Ideal hours are 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday, but this can be altered to suit an individual’s needs.

You must have the following Qualifications and Experience:

  • Working in an office environment with experience of following procedures for data input, retrieval, and documentation control.
  • Previously worked in an administration role.
  • Be computer literate and have a good level of Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
