Job Title: Office and Facilities Administrator

Location: London

Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 per year

Job type: Full Time -37.5 hours per week-but part time options available. Hours are typically 9- 5pm full time, but can be flexible with part time options.

About the role:

This is a varied and busy role that provides support to staff members and volunteers to ensure that the maintenance of our building and administrative tasks are completed, and that the charity functions efficiently. The overall purpose of this role is:

  • To support the IT and administrative systems and carry out the day-to-day administration functions of the organisation
  • To coordinate all aspects of everyday premises management.
  • To support the implementation of internal operational processes, to strengthen more standardised and effective ways of working.
  • To assist the Finance and Facilities Manager to provide key support across all the back-office functions.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Experience of implementing and maintaining administrative systems and processes
  • Working knowledge of IT systems such as Microsoft programmes (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and experience of using databases and other programmes.
  • Experience of premises management, or willingness to learn is desirable.

  • Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and ability to complete tasks
  • Able to plan and manage busy workload and conflicting priorities
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information in accordance with data protection regulations
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills when dealing with colleagues and with people with different communication needs eg. students and families
  • Able to maintain positive and professional relationships
