EDM design, manufacture and install specialist mechanical applications to a diverse client base. Based in Manchester we are currently recruiting for an Office and HR Administrator on a permanent basis. We have a wide variety of prestigious clients on some of the most exciting Military and Civil aviation training engineering projects around the world. This role will provide an administration function to the business, namely cover on reception, supporting HR and the wider business. Duties will include regular planned administration and the chance to develop in aspects of HR and Recruitment. The successful candidate will join the team in their ambition to make this a great place to work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cover all reception functions in the absence of the Receptionist including lunchtime cover daily including greeting and booking visitors, managing distribution of mail and provision of courier services, monitoring stationery supplies and reordering and administering the use of Company pool vehicles.
  • Supporting the HR manager with personnel including maintenance of personnel files.
  • Assistance with offers of employment and arranging new starter inductions.
  • Administration of references, probation forms and security clearance.
  • Administration of the system including new starters, leavers and changes.
  • Assistance with internal and external training including coordination and collating evaluation feedback.
  • Assistance with recruitment including posting new vacancies, liaising with candidates, assistance with job adverts and job descriptions.
  • Administer company travel arrangements including utilising travel agents, sourcing accommodation, travel authorisations forms and processing hotel and travel payment arrangements.
  • Providing administration support to the wider business as required.

Key Requirements:

  • Articulate individual with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills demonstrated by an ability to liaise confidently and effectively with different levels within the business.
  • A high level of attention to detail with a keen eye for detail
  • Good IT skills, particularly all the Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word.
  • Effective time management.
  • Have a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record of meeting challenging deadlines.
  • Able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Committed to upholding professional standards.
  • Able to retain confidentiality.
  • Team worker and ability to work under own initiative.
