Job Title: Office Manager / General Manager

Location: Dalston, London (E8 2DG)

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum + Bonuses

Assistive Solutions is a Social Enterprise that provides computer equipment and 1-1 support to disabled students. We are looking for an experienced and confident Office Manager to join our fantastic team in Dalston, East London.

About the role:

You will organise and coordinate office administration and procedures, in order to ensure organisational effectiveness and meeting key KPIs, efficiency, and safety. You will be responsible for developing intra-office communication protocols, streamlining administrative procedures, inventory control, office staff supervision, task delegation and completion

Key duties:

  • HR: Recruitment, Inductions, Reviews
  • Monitor office operations and procedures
  • Monitor KPIs and act upon the data
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Run morning SCRUMs, check in with team leaders ensure completion of administrative tasks
  • Ensure office efficiency is maintained by carrying out planning and execution of equipment procurement, layouts, and office systems
  • Responsible for developing and implementing office policies by setting up procedures and standards to guide the operation of the office to ISO 9001 and ISO 27000 standards.
  • Ensure that results are measured against standards, while making necessary changes along the way
  • Allocate tasks and assignments to office teams and monitor their performance
  • Assign and monitor clerical, administrative, and secretarial responsibilities and tasks among office staff
  • Perform review and analysis of special projects and keep the management properly informed
  • Ensure top performance of office staff by providing them adequate coaching and guidance
  • Responsible for developing standards and promoting activities that enhance operational procedures
  • Coordinate office staff activities to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Coach, mentor, and discipline office staff
  • Ensure filing systems are maintained and current
  • Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data
  • Oversee adherence to office policies and procedures
  • Analyse and monitor internal processes
  • Implement procedural and policy changes to improve operational efficiency
  • Prepare operational reports and schedules to ensure efficiency
  • Coordinate schedules, appointments, and bookings
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints
  • Manage internal staff relations
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and pleasant work environment

About you:

The successful candidate is an energetic professional who doesn’t mind wearing multiple hats. Experienced in handling a wide range of administrative duties and executive support-related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Well organized, flexible, hands on, and enjoys the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people.
