Job Title: Operations Administrator

Location: Marchwood, Southampton

Salary: £23k – £25k

Job type: This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm (42.5 hours per week) and is based in our offices in Southampton.

Job Description:

We are actively seeking an experienced Administrator to join our busy general crane hire desk based in Marchwood, Southampton.

Duties will include:

  • Managing the arrangement of resources required for each order.
  • Using IT systems/software to complete administrative processes in a timely manner including raising contracts, job sheets, operator tickets, timesheets.
  • Organise site visits.
  • Dealing with daily sales enquiries to new and existing customers.
  • Chasing debtors and overdue payments.
  • Dealing with local authorities and traffic management companies managing road closures and permits.

Essential:

  • You must have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Marchwood, Southampton.
  • You must have a minimum of 2 years’ proven administration experience.
  • You should have a good standard of education.
  • You must have a positive and ‘can-do’ attitude with high attention to detail and excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • You must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook.

Desirable:

  • Working administration experience on a Hire Desk or within the construction, crane or plant industry.
