The Role:

The Company’s industry-leading session border controller product, Perimeta, is a cloud native, carrier class, solution that protects voice networks from attack whilst maintaining performance, even under heavy load, and is architected to handle distributed signalling and media.

Due to the growing success of this product, they are looking to recruit a highly talented and technically minded individual into the Perimeta agile development team to fill a role as a Product Owner.

The successful applicant will get involved with everything from working with Product Management to understand the market and customer requirements, building a backlog based on the changes required to achieve the product vision through to inspiring and helping the team to deliver on their commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and communicating a vision for their product area
  • Managing their product backlog(s)
  • Deciding what the team(s) should work on and when
  • Making and delivering on commitments
  • Providing leadership to help ensure the team(s) are motivated and engaged

The Candidate:

For this position, you will need the following skills/attributes.

  • A degree and a versatile and creative mind with excellent problem-solving ability
  • Previous Product Owner experience in one or more agile teams
  • Self-motivation, inventiveness, energy and self-discipline
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • A proven ability to lead a small team but also happy to ‘roll up their sleeves’ to help and support others to deliver team and organisation goals
  • Good organisational skills with the motivation to own, plan and deliver projects.

You’ll often work closely with technical team members, so the following are useful but not essential.

  • Experience of VoIP, mobile and core telecoms software
  • Experience of commercial software development and all parts of the development process
  • Knowledge of a variety of development tools and applications
  • Product management experience.
