Job Title: Production Food operatives

Location: Kingston, Milton Keynes

Salary:

  • Days: £10.50ph (£22036 per annum) with additional pay for enhanced skillsets
  • Nights: £11.50ph (£24135 per annum) with additional pay for enhanced skillsets

Allowances:

e.g., for First Aiders, Fire Wardens, FLT drivers, Cleaning etc

Job type: Permanent – Full-time or Part-time (Day or Night Shifts available)

Part time shifts will be considered (e.g., 0600-1200 or 1200-1800 or alternative part time patterns) where job sharing can be arranged to ensure 24/7 production.

Hours:

Days, 4 on 4 off, 0600-1800

Nights, 4 on 4 off, 1800-0600

The Role:

To assist in all aspects of carrying out daily production tasks from weighing up ingredients for processing, to palletising finished product and all operations in between. Completing tasks to maximum efficiency whilst maintaining low levels of waste, maximising outputs, working safely and ensuring high quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

Operations:

  • Assisting in the packing of all Gosh! food products.
  • Operating machinery and equipment as required for the above activity.
  • Carrying out a variety of cleaning duties as directed.
  • Assisting with the achievement of production targets.
  • Minimising production costs.
  • Minimising wastage.

Quality, Food Safety & Hygiene:

  • Carrying out high standards of food quality and food safety.
  • Complying with Company hygiene policies and procedures when undertaking operations while maintaining high standards of personal hygiene.
  • Monitoring and recording quality and food safety performance where applicable.
  • Reporting any unsafe practices which could food safety.

Health & Safety:

  • Working in a safe manner with due consideration for personal Health & Safety and that of co-workers at all times.
  • Reporting any unsafe working practices

Learning & Development:

  • Attending Company Training courses/sessions which will support your continuous personal development to ensure our manufacturing capability keeps pace with or exceeds our customer requirements. It will cover; food quality, food safety, health & safety and other aspects of competence required by legislation.
  • Demonstrating competence in trained factory tasks.
  • Following information and instruction to the best of your ability.

Teamwork:

  • Functioning to the best of your ability within the production team, treating other members of staff with dignity and respect.

Other:

  • Communicating effectively with co-workers and Management.
  • Any other duties as required to fulfil the company needs.
