Job Title: Production Operator

Job Type: 3-shift rolling pattern 6.2, 2.10, 10.6 (Plus a premium shift rate in addition to the hourly rate between the hours of 6pm – 6am) Option to work permanent nights.
Heat Trace is a manufacturing and engineering company with our headquarters and main manufacturing unit in Helsby Cheshire, with a further two manufacturing facilities at Bredbury, Stockport.
The prime activity of the business is the manufacture of highly technical heating cables for use predominantly in the oil and gas and advanced processing industries.
The Role:
Our recent success in increasing our sales has led to the need to recruit more staff based at our Helsby site.
We’d like you to have some extrusion experience, but it’s not essential as we will provide training to develop individuals into multi skilled operatives able to work across all areas.
If you’re successful you’ll be working in our busy production environment supporting the rest of the team to meet designated targets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operation of manufacturing equipment in line with process specifications
- Monitoring and reporting issues with standards of product through the process and correcting if necessary
- Updating computer systems with manufacturing data to reflect work completed and materials used.
- Conducting prescribed health and safety checks relating to the work area.
- Communicating clearly with fellow operators at shift handover to advise the status of the work schedules and the condition of the equipment.
- Undertake training across various machines and processes as required.
- To complete timesheets and/or production sheets as required.
The Candidate:
- High standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Interest in engineering and how equipment works.
- Great communication skills
- Willingness to learning new skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft office package (excel, word, etc)
- Ability to work as part of a team
