Job Title: Project Coordinator

Location: Avonmouth, Bristol

Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 per annum

Job type: Full Time

King Lifting provide crane hire to the construction industry and plant, machinery movement solutions from depots across the UK.  We are a family run business and proud of our name and achievements within the industry.

The role:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and confident Project Co-ordinator to join our small Software Systems team at an exciting time of sustained growth and change.

This is a varied role, working alongside the current Project Co-ordinator, on established and new projects, as well as overseeing the daily management of our bespoke hire and rental software products.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Specific responsibilities will include planning projects, monitoring progress, and overseeing other 3rd party members of the project teams. You will also be working with our depot hire desks to support their use of the software. You will provide training to new and existing staff members when introducing new software functionality; therefore, some travel may be required as well as some reasonable excess hours by agreement.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design and control your project schedule
  • Write high-level business cases detailing business objectives and ensure these are continually met throughout the project
  • Write detailed functional specifications to describe the product’s intended capabilities, appearance, and functionality
  • Carry out usability studies, and integrate into product requirements to benefit user satisfaction
  • Provide accurate financial updates and apply cost/ benefit analysis to technical decision-making
  • Ensure all project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored – to include project plans, risk reports, issue logs, project budgets and Gantt charts
  • Analyse the current company processes and revising them, testing high-level workflows, and running gap analysis
  • Design, coordinate and deliver software-based training
  • Raise, manage, and control help desk calls and scheduled resolutions
  • Prepare presentations to update senior management on the project’s progress and showcase the project’s value
  • Work closely with developers to ensure continual overview and testing during the development phase

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Friendly, approachable, and personable with strong communication and organisation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a logical and methodological mindset.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project with the ability to learn and support internal software programmes.
  • Ability to understand issues and solve problems in a timely manner.
  • Experience within a software project focused role, either in Administration, Co-ordination, or Management.
  • Experience in identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks and issues in a project or a business environment coupled with change management.

Preferred skills and experience but not essential:

  • Experience in Rentalresult or rental software packages
  • Office based experience in the Crane Hire or plant hire industry
