Job Title: Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor

Location: Norwich

Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum, dependant on experience

Job Type: Full-time – Permanent

Working Hours: 37.5 per week

Oxbury is a professional practice of Chartered Surveyors. We operate from our offices in Norwich, Cambridge and Chelmsford and act for Clients throughout the East, East Midlands, South East of England and Greater London area, providing the full range of Cost Management (Quantity Surveying), Employer’s Agent and Project Management services for a wide spectrum of public, private and commercial clients. Contracts range in size from £50k to over £100m in value.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Chartered Surveyor, with a strong Cost Management and Quantity Surveying background across a range of sectors, to deliver and expand professional Cost Management Services to a wide range of private and public-sector clients.

Cost Management: Preparing cost estimates and plans as well as early advice on financial viability. Providing contract / procurement advice and administration, including drafting Procurement Documents. Carrying out valuations and identifying value engineering opportunities. Monthly cost reporting including agreeing cost for variations and final accounts.

Occasional Contract Administration/Employer’s Agent Services: The day-to-day management of a number of schemes – including large, complex or unusual schemes – in the administration of contracts and coordination of projects.

Management: Line management and mentoring of junior staff.

Business Development: Raising the profile of the Company in a range of sectors to secure new commissions. This will include preparing bid submissions and attending client interviews.

About you:

You’ll need to be RICS (or equivalent) professionally qualified and have experience of cost management and reporting with a private practice or consultancy. You’ll be able to demonstrate your skills in traditional, design and build and NEC procurement and contract administration, as well as budget and project reporting. You’ll have experience of providing early advice and liaison with clients. If you are also professional, diplomatic and client focussed then you could be just who we are looking for.
