Job Title: Receptionist
Location: Barrow in Furness
Salary: £20,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 8am – 4pm, Monday – Friday.

The Position:
As a receptionist, you will be responsible for ensuring guests, staff and external consultants, receive a professional welcome and first-rate visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and greeting visitors in a calm, professional and timely manner
- Answering queries from visitors
- Ensure that all visitors are signed in (and provide a site induction, if required) and are aware of general safety guidance
- Maintain a safe and presentable reception and waiting area by complying with all procedures, rules and safety regulations
- Security Access Card issuing and maintaining of records as per company procedures
- Maintaining of Site Induction records
- Organising internal and external room bookings, hotel accommodation, hire cars and taxis.
- Hire cars – assisting hire car companies with the drop off and collection of vehicles
- Answering general enquiries and dealing with telephone calls/incoming emails
- Provide IT support – ad hoc enquiries, guest wi-fi access requests
- Uploading of documents (such as Certificates) onto SAP (Facilities Work Orders etc) and sharepoints (DECA, DORECO)
- Data inputting onto SAP, Eagle (internal reporting system), PASSMS and Training Matrices
- Ordering of catering, refreshments, fruit and milk deliveries
- Photocopier and coffee machine contact for maintenance issues
- Stationery, resources and consumables ordering
- Be responsible for ensuring meeting rooms are set up, monitored and maintained throughout the day
- Maintain ECH Reception email inbox and calendar
- Site Calendars – creation of weekly movements sheet and associated duty mobile telephone handover
- Handling and distribution of incoming post
- Ad hoc meeting organisation and minute taking
- TRAKA key authorisation and administration
- General administration, such as photocopying, shredding and any other duties commensurate to the role
The Candidate:
- Experience of working within a busy stand-alone reception/office environment and delivering a first-class customer experience to internal employees and external guests
- An ability to organise, prioritise own workload and organise time and tasks effectively
- Good communications skills and experience in managing reception communications via telephone, email and face to face
- Effective IT skills
- Experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel in the workplace
