Recruitment Consultant

Established in 2000, Express Solicitors is an award-winning law firm that deals in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence claims. Based in Manchester, we serve clients nationwide. We are proud of the work we do helping injured people, and this is our core business.

Express Solicitors are currently ranked 80 out of more than 10,000 law firms in the UK and ranked in the top ten for the Best Law Firm to work for in the UK by Best Companies. We have a 5-star ranking with Trust Pilot from over 5,500 reviews, which, coming from our clients, means a lot to us.

Role:

We are currently looking for a recruitment consultant to work on cross sector roles. While we are of course a law firm, our recruiters look after all the recruitment needs within the firm. This can be an admin role to a c-suite position and of course everything in between, including HR, IT, Marketing and of course Lawyers. This is an exciting role that gives a recruiter a chance to get not only cross sector experience but also the chance to work on a variety of roles, from volume graduate roles to high value commercial positions. No two days will be the same.

As a team of five, we are looking for our next piece of the puzzle. We need an experienced recruiter (either agency or in-house) but we are open as to type of recruitment experience you have. With two senior recruiters in the team with over 25 years’ experience between them, we are able to offer full training and development and more importantly support as you settle into your new role.

This role will give you the chance to deal with the full recruitment cycle form attraction (drafting job specs / networking / attending fairs) to interviewing (telephone, Teams & office) to offers and on boarding. You will get involved in every stage of the process and get to turn candidates into colleagues.

  • Responsible for screening CV’s and maintaining jobs boards and measuring return on investment.
  • Analysis of key recruitment metrics – while we don’t work to KPIs we like to know how we are doing!
  • Shortlisting candidates using fair and robust techniques, and arranging interviews
  • Conducting interviews either by telephone, Teams or at the office
  • Ensure all interview notes are completed accurately and promptly
  • Contacting all applicants, both successful and unsuccessful
  • Developing direct attraction strategies, using job boards, social media and other techniques to reduce agency dependence
  • You will receive support and assistance from the HR team on the recruitment function
  • Managing agency suppliers
  • Ensuring to maintain excellent diversity & inclusion in everything we do
