We are currently looking for a Regional Manager to join our vibrant and committed Migrant Help team, on a Permanent Contract.

The successful candidate will be an accountable and influential leader, have proven experience motivating a diverse team be able to deliver and exceed challenging performance goals, drive excellence across the team whilst maintaining a strong people management focus and be passionate about protecting our vulnerable clients.

The scope of this role is to work as part of the Migrant Help Asylum Services team, part of the Advice, Issue Reporting and Eligibility (AIRE) contract, and oversee the operation of the regional service with a team of staff in a variety of roles. You will be responsible for the management of the regional office and if growth dictates, all planning and mobilisation for the commissioning of new regional offices. As well as the team’s deployment, delegating work appropriately and ensuring an effective delivery of service across the sites. Address any issues relating to standards in the service delivered, and non-contractual compliance.

As the Regional Manager your duties would include:

  • To manage and oversee the day-to-day operations within the multi-channel and multi-work stream of the Regional Team
  • Work closely with the Head of Regional Services and Relationships, to support their strategic objectives and deputise in their place when needed
  • Work closely with other Regional Manager’s to support their day-to-day operations, bridging gaps and supporting with duties in highest demand
  • Responsible for people related functions, such as recruitment, inductions, employee development, appraisal and supervision, absence monitoring, disciplinary and conflict resolution and training needs, supporting in the creation if tailored training plans and implanting training plans for all new recruits
  • Responsible for the Health and Safety arrangements of this multi-disciplinary, team, ensuring the team are safe and secure at all times through robust lone working and RAMS arrangements
  • Facilitate team meetings including daily briefings to ensure that team members are up to date on matters that affect the delivery of service, such as policy and legislation change
  • Provide continuous insight to line manager on any changes in trends and the impact on client service delivery
  • To work strategically, forecasting, and future planning to enable you to plan and overcome challenges within the team because of changes in demand
  • To manage the performance of the team against KPIs through use of MI and data
  • To monitor, review and assure the KPI data and its quality ahead of submissions each month, addressing trends and ensuring corrective actions are taken
  • Monitor and forecast demand and create plans that ensure availability of adequate service provision

The experience and skills you need:

  • Ability to work under pressure, deal with deadline and conflicting priorities
  • Experience in identifying and assessing training needs, creating tailored training plans, and implementing various training methods to enhance employees’ skills and performance
  • Significant experience reviewing and assuring data, to be used for invoicing, volumes, and performance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and lead a team through change
  • Skilled at providing effective development opportunities and support to team members

What else to expect:

  • This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • The post holder may be required to complete a Counter Terrorism Check (CTC)
  • Flexibility to work unsocial hours by prior arrangement and travel in the UK and abroad as required
  • The post requires OISC Level 1 competence.
  • The post holder will be flexible to work hours between 8am and 8pm to support business needs.
