We deliver world-leading research that transforms lives, improves societies, and shapes the future.

The Position:

The University of Nottingham is looking for a Campaign Strategist for its Research Advocacy programme – a new role, in a new team.

The University of Nottingham is one of the UK’s leading research-intensive universities, ranking seventh for research power in the 2021 Research Evaluation Framework. A new Research Advocacy team has been established to build upon this success and strengthen the way we advocate for our research funding and reputational priorities. You will work collaboratively with academic and professional staff across the university to implement multi-channel communications strategies, host in-person and online events for targeted audiences, and develop strong relationships with cross-sector external stakeholders. You will also contribute to the development of an innovative new model for research promotion within the UK Higher Education sector, defining and monitoring KPIs and shaping a series of campaigns to deliver impressive results.

Candidate Requirements:

You will be a strategic and systematic thinker, with experience running similar campaigns in the public policy, marketing, and/or higher education sectors. You will be comfortable working with researchers from across all disciplines, and will think creatively about how to engage various stakeholders with research through targeted communications, events, and other activities. You will also be a great networker and alliance builder, managing virtual project teams made up of partners across the University to achieve shared goals.
