The Main Purpose of the Role:
To support the Inventory Manager, assisting in the smooth running of the Rework function through effective use of our internal processes and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). To create a plan and manage the rework team to ensure goods are produced on time for distribution in an efficient manner. To maintain stock levels and manage ad-hoc discrepancies and systemic issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within a Warehousing environment.
- Excellent administrative skills and computer literate.
- Practical with a willingness to learn about new systems and processes.
- Good interpersonal skills and a strong team player.
- Punctual, reliable and have a good historical attendance record.
- Tenacious and willing to challenge to resolve issues.
- Ability to multi‐task and work in a fast-paced environment with good accuracy and organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co‐
- Professional in appearance.
- Must have own transportation to work.
Key Accountabilities:
Rework:
- On-going rework functions – follow the plan and ensure all PO quantities are adhered to.
- Ad-hoc rework functions – ensure that a full understanding of the job requirement is delivered and completed with full traceability.
- Liaising with both the external customer and internal cross functional colleagues.
- Labour planning – ensuring team is crewed up to meet the next weeks plan.
- Raising and Processing PO’s.
- Working at alternative sites assisting rework as and when required.
- STO raising and booking in.
- Managing packaging.
- Attending the monthly rework Meeting.
- Production Planning.
- KPI reporting.
- Quality checking at all levels and addressing any issues as needed.
- Applying a continuous improvement approach within the day to day role.
Stock Control:
- Liaise with the factory for future production plans and organising workload to ensure availability of stock to meet demand.
- Ensure all discrepancies are dealt with in a timely manor.
- Manage the site pick faces for counts, BBE’s checks & housekeeping
- System management including being an SAP super user.
Health & Safety:
- Maintain compliance with the site H&S standards at all times.
- Attend any relevant training courses.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by performing general housekeeping where necessary.
- Ensure that all lifting and moving of products are carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures.
- Support the safety culture by completing near miss forms when a relevant observation is made.
