Job Title: Senior Communications & Marketing Executives

Location: Walsall / Hybrid Working

Salary: £27,041 – £31,346 per annum

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Tens of millions of pounds have been secured to transform Walsall and we need a Head of Marketing & Brand to showcase our people, our place and our Council.

We have big ambitions to build on our proud industrial heritage and build a borough fit for the future.

We need story tellers who will work closely with the local, regional and national media and create compelling marketing and social media content.

We are looking for creative candidates who are full of ideas and have a passion for communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering campaigns and communications on behalf of the council and our services
  • Creating multimedia content to communicate key messages raising awareness of Walsall and of Walsall Council
  • Handling media enquiries effectively in a busy, newsroom-type environment
  • Community management of the Council’s social media accounts
  • The development and delivery of media and social media campaigns
  • Planning and delivering PR and marketing events

About you:

We’re looking for experienced marketing and communications professionals with excellent writing skills. We need candidates with a flair for social media and content creation.

Creative thinking will be at the heart of these roles, originating ideas to tell the Council’s story. You will be creating content for the media, social media, marketing campaigns, for the Council’s website and for staff engagement.
