Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor x 2

Location: East Suffolk Council, East Suffolk House, Melton or Riverside, Lowestoft

Salary: £32,798 – £36,371 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (37 hours per week)

The Role:

We are seeking to appoint two experienced and committed Senior Internal Auditors to participate in the development of a forward thinking and professional Internal Audit service, working within a partnership environment.

These posts are primarily based at the Melton office, and will provide the opportunity to work across the audit partnerships at Ipswich Borough Council.

Post pandemic, the Council has adopted a hybrid way of working which allows for a mix of working from home and working in the office, either in Lowestoft or Melton.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include undertaking risk-based audit assignments, providing consultancy advice and guidance upon risk and good governance, supporting IT audits and projects at a senior level, and supervising junior officers carrying out a range of assignments covering all aspects of the Councils’ operations.

About you:

You will be IIA/AAT qualified/part-qualified or equivalent, with a proven track record in delivering internal audit services at a senior level. Working with minimal supervision and using your own initiative, you should also be able to communicate complex information effectively and have the ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships.
