Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday 9-5; flexible, condensed working, part time working, job shares or staggered hours can be considered.

About the Role

The successful person will identify, develop, and manage relationships across all Intermediary disciplines within a defined regional area, whilst developing and maintaining purposeful relationships with Network representatives, Intermediaries, and other business providers, being the brand representative for The Exeter’s regional activity, reinforcing TCF principles and work in line with The Exeter brand values.

As a Senior Key Account Manager, you will be a direct reporting line for the regional key account management team, managing activity, performance, behaviours, and targets nationally.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • To fulfil people management responsibilities of the regional key account team including training and development, motivation, performance review and succession planning
  • To achieve agreed sales targets through identification and development of accounts across a range of protection products and propositions
  • Work closely with the Head of Protection Distribution to identify sales and marketing ideas and business growth opportunities through maintaining regular contact with accounts in the defined geographical area
  • Analyse performance of defined geographical area to identify trends, offering solutions and recommendations internally to drive improved business performance using all available tools, including (not exclusively) NMG, CRM, DQM, Trade Press
  • Retain a high level of presentation skills and, develop and deliver one to one, group presentations and training sessions to firms in the defined geographical area Plan and record meetings by ensuring agenda, minutes and action log are kept for all clients/firms within region
  • Submit activity and results reports including daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and six-monthly territory analyses, along with regular competitor analysis about other providers’ propositions, market developments, trends and feedback
  • Demonstrate commitment to personal development, professional advancement, and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks
  • Maintain a strong and visible link with all internal departments, to facilitate the highest standard of service from The Exeter to Intermediaries

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Working with Intermediaries, IFAs and Wealth Managers
  • Knowledge of protection products including Income Protection
  • Proven track record of developing growth and strong relationships within a regional role
  • Prior leadership/reporting line responsibilities
  • Hold a relevant industry qualification, for example CII (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
