Job Title: Senior Lighting Technician

Location: Tunbridge Wells Town Centre

Salary: £28,633 per annum

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Pattern: Evenings/Full Time/Weekends

Hours: 37 hours per week.

Are you an experienced lighting technician who is looking to take the next step in their career? If so we have an exciting opportunity for you!

The Assembly Hall Theatre is a thriving receiving house with over 300 productions a year in a wide variety of genres.

What you will have

  • Successful experience working in a similar environment
  • You will have a strong lighting background with an advanced skillset of ETC EOS programming and operation
  • Knowledge and experience with lighting design
  • Strong and proven experience of working with external suppliers and partners in order to maintain the theatre’s lighting equipment
  • Ability to quickly develop good working relationships with touring companies to ensure excellent customer service
  • Ability to build trust and confidence with a wide variety of people

What you will be responsible for

  • Lead the theatre’s lighting team, and run the lighting department
  • Mentor and help train the theatre’s technicians in lighting skills
  • Program the EOS family lighting desk for live performances, create lighting states and cues which incorporate the venues intelligent lighting fixtures and create lighting designs
  • Set-up, focus and operate lighting for live performances and carry out pre-rigs to required standards and on time
