Job Title: Sales Executive (with progression to Sales Manager)

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Salary: Negotiable subject to experience

Job type: Permanent, Full time

Tahola is in a growth phase and keen to develop into one of the UK’s most successful BI and Analytics consultancies. To achieve this, we need to expand our sales team with an experienced, successful, self-starting sales executive.

You will be given a large degree of autonomy to achieve the desired results as well as provided with the support needed to be successful. We would expect you to work closely with the Commercial Director and to become “self-sufficient” within 3 – 6 months.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate clear expertise in selling BI / data warehouse solutions. Experience with Qlik or Cognos Analytics will be an advantage.

Before the end of 2021, we want to grow this team further and you will have the opportunity to move into a Sales Management role, recruit a sales team and mentor new starters into the Tahola way of working.

Key Duties:

  • Creating, qualifying and advancing leads to generate new business opportunities
  • Identify and analyse new prospects by strategically segmenting and prioritising various sectors.
  • Explore opportunities to increase sales volume from existing customers and your own professional network
  • Build a pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date sales forecast, be able to write compelling proposals and business cases, and be comfortable presenting to a board of Directors / Senior Management team
  • Generate new and innovative ideas that can be used in our marketing campaigns / marketing communications to inform our clients of new developments and to drive opportunities in our client and prospect bases

About you:

Essential skills

  • Can demonstrate sound commercial acumen
  • Proven track record in Data Warehousing and / or BI sales
  • Ability to work proactively and deliver creative solutions
  • Must have an understanding and familiarity of systems and technology used in businesses
  • Must be well organised
  • Clear verbal communicator
  • Ability to produce high quality, grammatically correct, written communications whether an email, letter, e-shot, proposal, etc.
  • Comfortable on the telephone
  • Ability to understand and communicate the benefits of our solutions
  • Capable of communicating with Senior Management and Directors in all areas of a business but specifically Finance, IT and Operations
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence or Performance Management Solutions is a prerequisite
