Job Title: Senior Cloud Service Desk Technician

Location: Remote

Salary: £16,647 – £30,211 per annum depending on qualifications and experience

Job Type: Full Time

The Company, a fast growing IT/Telephony solutions provider based in Hertfordshire, are currently growing and as such are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Cloud Service Desk Technician to fill this brand-new role.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Cloud Service Desk Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and implement new/improved solutions for customers.
  • Maximise internal and customer performance by monitoring and troubleshooting problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with third parties and the team on optimisation.
  • Support and administer Cloud-based services for customers.
  • Being capable to upgrade hardware equipment where appropriate to the latest stable hardware releases.
  • Ability to be able to learn and provide services around routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls.
  • Provide remote / on-site PC, application and network support to end users/customers.
  • Provide remote / on-site PC, application and network troubleshooting and fault finding.
  • Communicate to customers and vendors via email and phone for initial requirement capture

The Candidate:

About you

To be successful in this position you will have excellent spoken and written English, a great work ethic, an organised way of working and you should be keen to learn and keep up with emerging technologies. You will have full support and scope to build the role out.

You will need to be approachable with a can-do attitude, happy to answer questions and support other members of the team, sharing knowledge and expertise to enable them to develop, especially around networking and your solution-based methods.

As a Senior Cloud Service Desk Technician, you will be involved with technical projects, including the implementation of current solutions, along with the team.

You will need to be presentable and able to articulate your experience to all level of client understanding; the company will ensure you’re fully supported, that your technical ability can be showcased, with your role becoming key to assisting the growth of the business.

The ideal candidate is someone with a strong background in Azure / SharePoint and Microsoft Cloud-based services, who would like their next role to be somewhere they can make a lasting impression and feel like they are really adding value.

Key skills

  • Experienced in tackling issues that have been escalated and need a higher level of technical experience.
  • Used to working to within business processes to deadlines.
  • Adhering to agreed Service Levels.
  • Be pro-active and responsible.
  • Experience of DaaS and/or other VDI environments.
  • Microsoft ”modern workplace” product knowledge essential – M365, SharePoint, Azure.
  • Understanding and awareness of Cyber Security.
  • IT MSP experience is essential.
  • Networking experience is desirable – with an aptitude to want to learn and progress their networking abilities.
  • 3 years in a Senior services role is essential.
