Job Title: Service Coordinator

Location: West Norwood, South London

Salary: £30,998 per annum (with an increment in year 2).

Job type: Full Time

The role:

We are looking for someone to join our leadership team as a Service Coordinator. You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality person-centred support for one of our community groups. Each group has 8 – 10 community members with learning disabilities, living in 3 Supported Living houses.

Supported by a Deputy Coordinator, you will manage and inspire a team of 12 – 15 support assistants, working together to support the practical, social and spiritual needs of the members of your group.

The Candidate:

We’re looking for someone with knowledge and experience of supporting people with learning disabilities, as well as an enthusiasm for L’Arche’s values, the ability to inspire others and a willingness to be part of our friendly, professional and committed team.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

As a member of our Coordinating leadership team led by our Registered Manager, you will provided with a programme of personal development and training including opportunities to study for QCF qualifications in social care, and leadership development through L’Arche UK’s leadership training programme.

  • Lead and manage one of three groups in L’Arche London, comprising of a range of services for people with learning disabilities and its team of assistants
  • Create community and lead the service delivery within this group in line with L’Arche values, standards and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC].
  • Play an active role in the leadership of L’Arche London, helping shape its future direction as a faith-based community provider of services to people with learning disabilities.
