Job Title: Social Worker (Assessment Service)

Location: Romford, London

Salary: £35,751 – £44,790 per annum plus £4,000 market supplement

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The role:

The Assessment Team places a strong emphasis on safeguarding children, assess risks and providing early intervention through collaboratively working with family, working in close partnership with schools, community health, the voluntary sector and other partners to develop and provide preventative and targeted support. As a service we ensure that the voice of the children and their lived experience are captured in the assessment. Social Workers are integral to our offer. They work collectively to achieve best outcomes for children, young people and their families in Borough.

The Assessment Service are excited to announce that we are currently looking to recruit Social Workers within the Assessment Team.

You will need to have;

  • Significant experience (e.g. at least 2 years) of work with children and families, including assessments and statutory work.
  • Experience of multi-disciplinary inter-agency basis and ability to negotiate on behalf of customers.
  • Experience of the application of theoretical models and relevant research.
  • Experience of child protection work.
  • Experience of court work.
  • CQSW, Diploma in Social Work, CSS or equivalent.
  • Completion of all post qualifying professional requirements, including ASYE programme.
  • Current Social Work England registration
